OK, you’ve got one undistracted hour back.

What will you do with it? Here are some ideas.

  1. Tackle two small household projects.
We’ve all got a list of things we just never get around to. Well, now you have a free hour.
That junk, sock or spice drawer isn’t gonna organize itself!
  2. Read a book that changes your outlook.
There’s never enough time to read. Oh wait. There is now. And the NY Times just published
a list of the 100 best books since 2000. You only need to pick one.
  3. Move your body.
Even if you already exercise, take this free hour to get your
blood pumping and clear your head (ie. without listening to music or a podcast or anything
    else on your phone).
  4. Explore your area.
There are probably ten places you’ve been meaning to checkout in your town if you ever have the time.
Ahem…you now have the time. Hit that park, museum, library, haunted house.
  5. Learn a thing.
What is it that you wish you knew more about or knew how to do.
You’ll be amazed how 60 minutes of focus per day can make you a brilliant baker, painter,
or even a tarot card reader.
  6. Read a book that changes your outlook.
There’s never enough time to read. Oh wait. There is now.
And the NY Times just published a list of the 100 best books since 2000. You only need to pick one.
  7. Reach out to five former friends.
We all have people we care about but have fallen out of touch with.
Take your free hour today and send five of them an email or a letter. Doesn’t matter if they respond.
    This is a you thing.
  8. Write it down.
Start a daily journal of the things you did with your phone-free hour each day.
After a week, read what you’ve done. See how much more you’ve gotten with just this one small change.
  9. Call your mother.
Just kidding. You need your phone for that.
But call her after your phone-break is over. She worries

FAQ

Is there an advocacy group behind this effort?

Nope. We, like you, are simply concerned citizens. We’re determined to use our technical skills and knowledge of advertising to do some good.

Does buying an ad count as a political contribution?

No, you are simply expressing your opinion with an ad. Think of this as the digital version of putting an advocacy sign in your front yard or a bumper sticker on your car but more effective at reaching people – and less risky!

Are you going to share my data with anyone?

Never. Your name and email address are only used to send you confirmation when your Wordout campaign is complete and to keep you posted about new Wordout causes you may want to amplify.

Where will my ads appear?

Your ads will appear on popular apps and websites in the same types of ad units you typically see on digital media promoting products or services. You’re replacing ads for stuff with an ad for a cause you care about.

When will my ads appear?

Typically all of your ads will be delivered within two weeks of placing your order. For efficiency, we bundle the ads that consumers purchase into larger campaigns.
